MARCH 5TH RAW
INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH
Jeff Hardy v. Umaga
Umaga bullied Hardy right into the corner and whipped him hard to the buckles. Hardy rolled out of the ring and started running. Umaga missed a clothesline on the floor and Hardy cold cocked him with a kick. Hardy kept sticking and moving on the outside before he ate Umaga’s shoulder.
Umaga dropped down with his big ole’ ass twice. Hardy already looks dead as a doornail. Hardy fought back a little bit with a jawbreaker but got hit with a totally vicious thrust to the throat and an awful lariat to his FACE! Umaga dumped Hardy upside down in the corner and hit his falling head butt. He propped what was left of Hardy’s carcass in the corner and Hardy ate some booty.
Thumbs are up and Umaga collected Jeff and killed him dead with the Samoan spike. That’s all she wrote.
Winner: Umaga via pin fall
MARCH 12TH RAW
Edge came out in his street clothes and grabbed a mic. Jeff Hardy stood in the ring ready to face him in their scheduled match tonight. Edge said he wanted to beat Hardy badly and show him what the pecking order was all about but they were in Washington, D.C., home of the Washington Redskins. He said he was going to be damned if he was going to wrestle in a city that allowed people to use those kinds of racial slurs against Native Americans. Edge said he had an Indian friend who would be taking his place. The Great Khali came down the ramp. That’s one big Indian. Edge taunted Hardy on the outside.
Jeff Hardy v. The Great Khali
Hardy came after Khali and then got chopped in the head. Khali tossed him into the ropes and decapitated him with a big boot to the face. He picked up Hardy and slammed him to the mat with a double choke slam.
Kane’s pyro went off and he came out to the ramp with a chain with a hook on it. Khali and Edge were not too excited about it, so they left. Kane ripped the announce table to shreds with the hook for fun and then did his little pyro thing and stared Khali down from the ring.
No Contest
MARCH 19TH RAW
Randy Orton v. Jeff Hardy
The two locked horns and Orton quickly backed Hardy into the corner. Orton missed a punch and Hardy arm dragged him to the mat and slapped on an arm bar. Orton tossed him off with a whip but Hardy countered back with two more arm drags and then right back to the arm bar.
Orton pushed Hardy back into the ropes and hit some punches and his inverted back breaker to gain the advantage. Orton whipped through the Garvin stomp and went for a cover but only got a two count. Orton rolled Hardy over into a Boston Crab and sat down to put on some pressure. Hardy reached the ropes and Orton milked the five count.
Hardy fought back with some punches before Orton hit a kick to the gut and came looking for a clothesline but Hardy sidestepped and hit a clothesline. Hardy followed up with two more clotheslines and a cork screw mule kick before going for a cover. Hardy came off the ropes with whisper in the wind.
Edge came running down to ringside and distracted the proceedings. He threw a ladder into the ring that Orton used quickly to get himself disqualified.
Winner: Jeff Hardy via DQ
After the match Orton goaded Edge to come in the ring. Hardy snuck up on him with the ladder and cracked him in the ribs with it. Hardy climbed the ladder and came flying off with a flying leg drop. Edge watched with approval from the ramp.
MARCH 26TH RAW
The Cutting Edge (W/ Randy Orton, King Booker, Finlay, Kennedy, CM Punk, Matt & Jeff Hardy)
Jeff Hardy said he was going to steal the entire show just like he does in all his ladder matches, even if that meant going through his own brother. Edge said that was enough.
Randy Orton & Mr. Kennedy v. The Hardy Boyz
Matt and Orton started things up as Matt grabbed a side headlock. Hardy hit a double axe handle from the second rope and went for a quick cover but Orton kicked out. Jeff tagged in and hit a springboard drop kick and a one count.
Kennedy tagged in and went to work on Jeff booting away at him in the corner. Kennedy made fun of Jeff a bit before whipping him but ended up getting caught in a head scissors take down. Kennedy blocked the jaw breaker and threw Hardy like a Frisbee out of the ring.
Orton worked over Jeff on the outside before tossing him back in the ring. Kennedy went for the cover but only got a one count. Orton tagged in and with the help of his partner, mugged Jeff in the corner before Orton laid down the old Garvin stomp. Orton grabbed a side head lock on Jeff before dropping a knee in his face.
Kennedy tagged back in and laid the boots to Jeff’s back before looking for a suplex. Jeff fought him off the buckle and hit whisper in the wind. Orton tagged in and was able to insure Jeff didn’t reach his corner but Jeff mule kicked him off and made it anyways.
Matt tagged in and cleaned house before hitting his bulldog and clothesline combo. Hardy hit the side effect on both Orton and Kennedy but only got a two count on Orton. Matt went for a twist of fate but was clotheslined by Kennedy. Jeff popped back in to make the save though and the two hit the leap frog splash on Orton, but missed Kennedy. Jeff fell to the outside of the ring while Matt ended up being shoved by Kennedy right into an Orton RKO. Orton made the cover and that was all she wrote.
Winners: Randy Orton & Mr. Kennedy via pin fall
MARCH 30TH SMACKDOWN
MITB WARM UP MATCH
In a Raw rematch, Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton went one-on-one, with each man looking for any advantage heading into Sunday. Orton is looking to regain the form he had when he became the youngest World Champion in WWE history, and Hardy is aiming to get to the top of WWE.
Orton was poised for the victory until his so-called friend Edge interfered, allowing Hardy to get the victory. If Orton is to be successful at WrestleMania this Sunday, he will, as Michael Cole said, “need to get Edge out of his head.”
